Convenings

Calling All TVET College Practitioners

The youth unemployment crisis could be significantly disrupted if our education and training institutions understood the dynamics of employability better, and effected a paradigm shift towards demand-driven learning in their policies, practices, cultures and curricula. Such a shift would not only reverse the crisis levels of youth unemployment, but would foster better, deeper partnerships with employers and workplaces that can have a range of positive benefits on colleges including additional income generating opportunities.

The convenings will share progress in specific areas towards demand aligned and demand driven training in the post-school system and facilitate discussion around how these developments can be applied in the participants’ own institutions, drawing on the WorkFit Toolkit as a framework and reference.
