Introducing WorkFit Campus

Introducing WorkFit Campus

The events held in Cape Town and Johannesburg towards the end of August had one thing in common: celebrating the end of a successful first phase of the WorkFit Campaign and introducing the exciting second phase: WorkFit Campus.

WorkFit Campus is a self-directed learning programme which aims to help you advance your youth employability programmes. Born out of the overwhelming request for a tangible training programme based on the WorkFit Toolkit, the focus of the Campus is to grow a community of practice and help organisations and youth employability role players to improve their very own programmes.

There are 5 main components to the programme, making up the course structure as follows:

  1.     Introduction to Youth Unemployment and Demand-Driven Training
  2.     The Skills Value Chain for Employability
  3.     The Role-players
  4.     Diagnostic Assessment of your Skills Value Chain
  5.     Solving Programme Challenges

The course will take approximately 3 months to complete depending on the complexity of the challenge you want to solve as well as what you want to achieve.

The target audience is very broad, including but not limited to the following:

Career Guidance Practitioners
